The STANLEY® 18mm Snap-Off Knife with Slide Lock features a unique blade-snapping mechanism that allows quick, easy and safe blade snap with one hand, without the need to use a separate tool or accessory. Simply line up the blade to the snap line, securely snap it off with the lift-and-push lever and continue to cut with a new sharp edge. This innovative knife is ideal for a wide range of Professional trade applications, such as cutting plasterboard, insulation, wallpaper, and other materials. It is manufactured with a hard-wearing stainless-steel blade barrel and has been tested to 2,000 snaps. Designed for comfort and convenience, the knife features an optimised ergonomic bi-material handle, providing additional grip, and minimising the risk of slippage. The optimised design ensures an excellent cutting experience. This model is equipped with a slide lock mechanism for quick and intuitive blade depth setting. A rugged bi-material handle and magnetic blade loading make operation intuitive and simple, while a built-in tethering loop ensures convenient storage, plus increased security when working at heights. The STANLEY® Snap-Off Knife range is supplied with a 1095 Carbon Steel blade as standard.
